Common questions
How do I save a quote?
Tap the camera button in the middle of the tab bar and pick the book. Photograph the page, drag the box over the passage, and tap Save & write reflection. Add a thought if you like, choose who can see it, and share.
Who can see my notes?
Every note is Shared or Private. Shared notes appear in the feed of readers who follow you and on your profile. Private notes are seen by no one but you. Change any note from its own page, and choose what new notes start as in Settings.
How do I sign in?
With Apple, with Google, or with an email and password. If you signed up by email, confirm your address with the link we send before signing in — check your spam folder if it hasn't arrived.
How do I report a note, a reply or a reader?
Email us with the reader's handle and what you saw. We review every report and remove content that breaks the rules.
How do I delete my account?
Go to You → Settings → Delete account. You can save a copy of your notes first. Deleting removes your account and everything in it — notes, books, collections, replies and likes — for good. You can also email us and we'll do it for you.
Where do the book details come from?
Book titles, authors and covers come from Open Library, run by the Internet Archive.
